The Faculty of Humanities foster the continued growth of a research culture marked by academic and professional excellence, community relevance and interdisciplinary within diversity.

The dynamic research community of the Faculty of Humanities is coordinated by the Office of Research and Graduate Studies. The various research centres, units and groups have extensive links to the wider community and offer both consultancy and postgraduate supervision.

Australia Folklore Research Unit (AFRU)Ayla Dare-Collard

The Australian Folklore Research Unit (AFRU) was established within Australian Studies in the Faculty of Humanities in March 2002.

Research Unit for the Study of Societies in Change (RUSSIC)#

RUSSIC is a multidisciplinary research and teaching unit within the Faculty of Humanities, Curtin University.

The South Asia Research Unit (SARU)#

The South Asia Research Unit (SARU), which was established in 1991, coordinates and provides a focus for teaching and research on South Asia in the humanities and social sciences
