Include a covering letter explaining why the work has been written, its intended audience/s, assessment of any competing works and an estimation of when the work could be completed in a form ready to publish (i.e. edited, any illustrative materials captioned and at their appropriate place in the text, copyright clearances obtained, etc.).

It will usually take several months for us to assess your work, which will also be read by at least one independent expert. If your work definitely does not suit our list, we will let you know promptly.
